Cleft lip is the most common in oral and maxillofacial congenital malformation, in our country, average one of 700 baby is born with a cleft palate. Cleft lip doesn’t only seriously influence beauty, but also directly affect development because of facial mouth, nose interlinked. Serious cleft lips and palates patients affect milk, normal bred, which will lead to malnutrition in children. During the growth, children speak enunciation unclear, which will affect language development. Therefore, it is the key to discuss the high risk factors from the mother and prevent the occurrence of cleft lip.Empirically, this study discusses about the high risk factors from mother, using self-made questionnaire, life events scale (LES), trait anxiety scale (T - AI), idiosyncratic way to deal with the questionnaire (NC), C behavior scale (CB) and EPQ, which provides basis for guiding prenatal care, to effectively prevent the occurrence of cleft lip.Results: comprehensive measuring and testing results show that, compared with control group, the scores of life events scale negative factor, the anxiety, depression factor of the behavior scale C are higher than normal control group, and a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). But the scores of LES positive factor, trait anxiety scale, optimism and social support factors of C behavior scale are lower, and has a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). To explore risk factors related to the cleft lip during pregnancy, we screen for the risk factors by logistic regression analysis, and eventually five enter the model of risk factors, which respectively is degree, pregnancy weight change, milk and bean intake, health care products taking and folic acid adding.Conclusions:1. Pregnant women with high level of anxiety, depression, quantity of stimulates of adverse events, negative coping styles, nervousness and dissimulating might trigger cleft lip and palate. 2. Pregnant women with positive coping styles, stimulates of positive events, reasonable, optimistic and quantity of highly social support, may reduce the incidence of cleft lip and palate. 3. Pregnant women’s education and whether taking folic acid supplementation, taking health products, taking milk and beans and the weight changes during pregnancy period are important factors to cleft lip and palate.
