Background and ObjectiveIschemic stroke caused a threat to human health, which brought a heavy mental burden and economic burden to many families.Patients with Cerebral Infarcts in anterior circulation and Posterior circulation were different in the clinical symptoms and circulation infarction transition. There had been many studies shown that carotid artery arteriosclerosis was an important risk factor to cerebral infarction. In this study, we investigated the relationship between carotid artery、internal carotid artery、 vertebral artery and innominate artery arteriosclerosis affection and the region of cerebral infarction by Ultrasound.Materials and MethodsTo compare two sets patients arteriosclerosis plaque region, character and artery serious stenosis or occasion,88patients with Cerebral Infarcts in anterior circulation and109patients with Cerebral Infarcts in Posterior circulation were examined by Color Doppler flow image and B-flow technique. all dates were presented as rate, Statistical analyses were done using SPSS17.0software and the chi-square test, the value of test was defined as0.05. Resultsthere was not statistically significant in two sets patients (P>0.05) whose assemble plaques incidence rate at different regions; but there was statistically significant in patients with Cerebral Infarcts in anterior circulation (P<0.05) whose instability plaques incidence rate at different regions; however, there was not statistically significant in patients (P>0.05) with Cerebral Infarcts in Posterior circulation, while statistically significant in two sets patients (P<0.05) whose artery(arteries) had serious stenosis or occasion. Two group of patients with vertebral artery plaques have a significant (P<0.05)ConclusionsInstability plaques which presented at carotid artery as well as innominate artery easily leaded to cerebral Infarcts in anterior circulation, and serious stenosis or occasion in artery was important risk factor in patients with cerebral Infarcts Vertebral Artery Ostium Atherosclerotic Plaque easily leaded to posterior circulation infarction.
