| ObjectiveTo select Zusanli, Shangjuxu and Xiajuxu, which are the lower He-sea p oints of stomach, large intestine and small intestine respectively and ob serve the effects of electro-acupuncture the lower He-sea points of stoma ch and intestine on the recovery of gastrointestinal motility after abdom inal operation.Methods60patients after abdominal operation (gastric resection and the junc tion of the rectum after partial hepatectomy) are semirandomly selected a nd divided into2groups, namely electro-acupuncture group of30cases a nd blank group of30cases. Patients after abdominal operation were given routine nursing, fasting, conventional fluid replacement therapy, gastroi ntestinal decompression, wound irradiated by TDP lamp. Critically ill pat ients were given oxygen and gastrointestinal nutrition support besides no rmal treatment. The electro-acupuncture group was acupunctured with elect ric needle on Zusanli, Shangjuxu and Xiajuxu points;the treatment was gi ven twice a day from the six hours after operation and the bowel sound be fore and after the treatment were monitored;the exact time of first defl ation and defecation shall be recorded. All indexes, such as temperature, blood routine, biochemistry and using analgesic drugs or not, were recor ded. Database was built and implemented statistical analysis with SPSS17.0.Results1. Effects of electro-acupuncture on Zusanli,Shangjuxu and Xiajuxu on the time of first aerofluxus and bowel sound after operation.Electro-acupuncture group had significant effect on gastrointestinal motility recovery, with short time for aerofluxus and bowel sound. The av erage time of first aerofluxus for electro-acupuncture group was32hours and42minutes and aerofluxus for30patients was24~48hours. The aver age time of first aerofluxus for electro-acupuncture group was56hours a nd26minutes, that for7patients was24~48hours, that for20patients was48-72hours and that for3patients was more than72hours. The diff erence in aerofluxus times of the two groups had statistic meaning, P<0.05, so did the difference in bowel sound times of the two groups, P<0.05.2.Effects of electro-acupuncture on Zusanli, Shangjuxu and Xiajuxu on symptom improvement after operation.After operation, there was no obvious difference between the averag e numbers of temperature for the two groups within three days after opera tion and standard deviation, through statistic analysis on the temperatur e changes of patients in the two groups in different times. There is no d istinctness at the body temperature of both groups,(P>0.05) It was effect ive for treatment group, scores of clinical symptoms,the treatment group was significantly better than the control group, two groups was statisti cally significant difference (P<0.05). Since blank group had significant d ifference (P<0.05), it had significant acceleration for gastrointestinal motility rebuilding after operation, with earlier deflation and defecatio n times, faster recovery of bowel sound.ConclusionElectro-acupuncture on "Zusanli""Shangjuxu" and "Xiajuxu" could accelerate postoperative gastrointestinal motility rebuilding and reduce complications. |
