Objective To evaluate the extent of coronary artery disease in high risk population with multiple cardiovascular risk factors and normal population using64slice spiral CT thereby providing screening and early intervention for coronary artery disease in high risk group.Method77cases of high risk group (those with3or more coronary risk factor, hypertension, impaired glucose tolerance, dyslipidaemia, smoking history, BMI≥24kg/m2) and39cases of people without the aforementioned risk factors (control group) were enrolled in the study.64-slice coronary computed tomography (CT) angiography was performed to analyze the characteristics of coronary artery lesion in both groups. SPSS13.0statistical software was used to analyze the data and to compare the difference in the characteristic of coronary lesion thereby identifying the association between multiple cardiovascular risk factors and early coronary artery lesion.Result1. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant in the lesions that involve LMCA, LAD, LCX, RAD (P<0.05).2. There was also statistically significant difference in the number of coronary artery involved between the two groups(P=0.000).3. There was statistically significant difference in whether there is diffuse involvement of coronary lesion between the two groups (P=0.018).4. There was also statistically significant difference in the degree of stenosis in LMCA,LAD,LCX,RAD(P<0.05).5. The difference in the nature of plaques in LMCA, LAD, LCX, RAD between the groups was also statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion1. Compared to normal people, those with multiple coronary risk factors have higher incidence of coronary atherosclerosis, higher number of coronary artery involved, higher incidence of diffuse coronary lesions, greater degree of stenosis and higher incidence of coronary artery plaque formation.2.64slice spiral CT has important value in early screening of coronary disease in high risk group with multiple coronary risk factors.
