| Background and objectiveAllergic rhinitis (AR) is one of usual diseases in the department of otolaryngology. The nosogenesis of allergic rhinitis is complicated and multiplex. As the development of global industrialization, the ratio of allergic rhinitis has became higher and higher. The ratio of allergic rhinitis is10%~25%in global, while the ratio of this is15.1-21.8%in china. The nosogenesis of allergic rhinitis is unclear till now, it maybe about Surroundings and inheritance. At moment, we think that allergic rhinitis is noninfectious hypersensitivity reaction of Type I which arised in nasal mucosa, and it would cause the release of inflammatory transmitters〠cytokine and neuropeptide after hypoallergenic contact with specificity person. This process was mediated by IgE. This change will lead inflammatory reaction of nasal mucosa. Allergic rhinitis is one of usual dieases in the ENT department, and the clinical effects of it was multiplicate, too. But the mechanism of how it happen is unclear, till now. Reserch had indicated that it maybe concern about heredity and environment, recently.Cytokine was secreted by sort of cells in the body, the main effect of them were to link up each cells and to promote cell grow and to play their role. According to the physico-chemical and the biological character of them, all of those cytokines could be classified as:interleukin (IL), growth factor (GF), intcrfcron (IFN), tumor nccrokin factor (TNF), chemokine factor (CF), etc. Interleukin is a sort of solubility protein with difference structure and function. Interleukin could be secreted by sorts of cells and the function of them may be to regulate the grow and polarized fo cells. We had found more than twenty sorts of interleukines till now. They were secrered by sorts of cells and act on different cells. We named it’s name because we found the function of them were act between leucocytes, and we call them interleukin till now. Interleukin may play an important role in allergic rhinitis’arise and develop. Among these interleukins, interleukin-2was secrected by Type1helper cells mostly, interleukin-4was secreted by Type2helper cells mostly, interleukin-12were secreted by phagocytic cells and antigen present cells mostly effected by pathogenic microorganisms and their’s products. All of them three maybe play an important roles in allergic rhinitis’arise and development. The objective of this study is to understand the role of those three interleukins in alergic rhinitis’arise and development by compare the expression level of IL-2〠IL-4〠IL-12in the serum of patients that with allergic rhinitis to patients that without allergic rhinitis.Material and methodIn this experiment, we would assort our study objecties into two grounps:20patients with allergic rhinitis (experiment group) and20patients without allergic rhinitis (comparison group). In experiment group, all the patients’disease course had last one year at least. We would to detect the levels of interleukin-2ã€interleukin-4and inter-leukin-12by ELISA method in two groups’serum samples, then to statistics and analyze the data that we got with proper statistics method (SPSS17.0statistics package).RessultsQuantitative results:The detected values of interleukins in serum(ng/L):IL-2in experiment group is15.19±3.50, While in comparison group is20.36±2.63. IL-4in experiment group is128.6(?)59.32, While in comparison group is52.92±19.67. IL-12in experiment group is72.64±15.77, While in comparison group is136.55±17.88.Statistical results:The level of IL-2〠IL-12in experiment group were lower then comparison group (P<0.05), While the level of IL-4were higher in experiment group then comparison group (P<0.05).And all the difference were significantly.ConclusionIL-2〠IL-4and IL-12maybe play an concernful role in the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis and in the treatment of allergic rhinitis. |
