Atopic dermatitis is a chronic, recurrent, inflammatory diseases, clinicalmanifestations of severe itching, pleomorphic lesions. In childhood, atopicdermatitis is a kind of common disease, which incidence of a disease is highand showed an increasing trend. Atopic dermatitis with severe itching seriouslyimpacts the daily life and learning of children, causing the concern of expertsaround the world. The causes of this disease is complex. Many factors areattributed to the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis, these factors include geneticfactor, environmental, its own antigen, infections, skin barrier function obstacle, psychology and so on. The pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis is not yet clear, and basically has immunology and non-immunology theory. The study offoreign scholars found that zinc deficiency will increase eosinophilicinflammation. The people of zinc deficiency suffering from allergy, bronchialresponsiveness and allergic diseases is higher4-5times than healthy people.Clinical research on zinc and atopic dermatitis has not yet been reported. Thisarticle explores the correlation between the occurrence of atopic dermatitis andzinc between.Understand the risk factors and athogenesis of atopic dermatitishelp people find more effective methods to mitigate the station of disease andto remedy this disease.62childhood atopic dermatitis patients (2-12years) whowere borned in the city of changchun were collected from June2010to May2011.This is observe group.60healthy Kids (2-12years) who came to have aphysical examination and were borned in the city of changchun were collectedfrom June2010to May2011.This is control group. No significant differencebetween the two groups of patients such as gender, age. Test serum zincconcentration of the two groups and analyze the difference between the two groups. observed group n=62,=9.98, SD=1.59, control group n=60,=12.06, SD=1.68, Statistical analysis, P<0.05.The difference was statisticallysignificant. Serum zinc levels of childhood atopic dermatitis patients are lowerhealthy children. It is speculated that zinc deficiency may be closely related tothe occurrence of atopic dermatitis. Zinc is one of the essential trace elementswhich is widely distributed in body tissues, organs, and has importantphysiological functions.Zinc plays an important role on the growth of normalcells, development and differentiation, promotes growth and tissue regeneration, protects the skin healthy, enhances human immunity.Zinc deficiency reduses resistibility which makespeople to easily infect. In the station of zinc deficiency, the skin can appearerythema, dry, scale, ulcer and so on. There are latest animal studies on atopicdermatitis. The mouse model of atopic dermatitis who were dieted to zincdeficiency food had more serious lesions and higher IgE levels. The scholarproposed zinc deficiency as a cause of atopic dermatitis. However, this viewremains to be further clinical studies.
