Objective:The study aimed to retrospectively analyze the clinical effect of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) in patients with chronic heart failure in The Second Affiliated Hospital of Medical School of Zhejiang University.Method:We retrospectively analyze the data of CRT-P/D implanted patients form January2008to December2011in The Second Affiliated Hospital of Medical School of Zhejiang University. All the patients received regular follow-ups every3-6months, including NYHA class, left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF), left ventricular internal dimension at end diastole(LVIDd),6minutes walking test (6MWT) and survive.Results:142patients with chronic heart failure[94males and48females, age33-88(64.85±11.90) years] who underwent successful implantation of a CRT-P/D were included in this study. The response of CRT was62.5%. Women, patients with sinus rhythm(SR), QRS duration>150ms, left bundle branch block (LBBB) received a better response after CRT(P<0.05). During follow-up,. The LVEF of the patients was improved from (28.07±4.75)%to (42.23±12.08)%; LVIDd was as decreased from (66.2±10.7) mm to (59.3±10.8) mm;6MWT improved form (311.54±124.83) m to (375.29±129.32) m, P<0.05. The all-cause of mortality was10.56%(Cardiac mortality was9.15%). Patients with ischaemic heart disease received a high mortality(P<0.05).Conclusions:CRT was effective in improving LVEF and reducing adverse clinical events in patients with chronic heart failure.
