Objective:To find the risk factors for postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs) after hepatocellular carcinoma radical surgery, and to provide ideas for how to reduce or avoid the occurrence of postoperative pulmonary complications. Methods:collect the information of the patients with hepatocellular carcinoma whose hepatectomy were performed between January2008and December2009in the second affiliated hospital of Zhejiang university college of medicine,.Use univariate analysis (x2test, t test),multivariate regression analysis for screening the risk factors for postoperative pulmonary complicationsResults:106patients were admitted to the program, postoperative pulmonary complications was identified in22patients (20.7%),including pleural effusion, pneumonia. Univariate analyses showed that the patients with Moist rales heared in lung auscultation (P<0.005),Lower preoperative albumin level (P<0.038), prolonged operation time (P<0.005), Prolonged anesthesia time (P<0.005) and a large amount of intraoperative blood transfusion were easier to get postoperative pulmonary complications(Pleural effusion, pneumonia). The multivariate logistic regression analysis identified preoperative albumin level (OR=0.044) as an independent risk factor for postoperative pulmonary complications. Conclusion:preoperative albumin level (P<0.044) was independent risk factor for postoperative pulmonary complications after hepatocellular carcinoma radical surgery.
