Relationship Between PRO Scale Of Key-symptoms In TCM And Disease Severity In Patients With COPD And Pulmonary Heart Disease

Object iveThe study is complementarity of previous work that Danting zhang have evaluated The PRO scale of key-symptoms in TCM, which made by Professor Yu and her students. The work before have approved that this PRO scale has good validity and reliability. This study purpose to explore the relationship of this PRO scale and disease severity who are suffer from COPD with pulmonary heart disease. We try to provide a scientific gist that will enrich the curative effect determinant system of COPD with pulmonary heart disease.MethodsThis study chooses57patients with COPD and pulmonary heart disease from July2011to March2012as research subject. All subjects come from Guangdong Hospital of TCM. BODE index, COPD Assessment Test(CAT)and the PRO scale of key-symptoms in TCM were used for evaluation of health-related quality of life before treatment and after treatment.This topic uses the SPSS18.0package for data entry, and using the related analysis, Kruskal-Wallis H test, Wilcoxon signed rank test, the results of the data for statistical analysis.Results1. This PRO scale is convenient for patients. The effect size statistics of the PRO scale was0.87, which is obvious effect. It could reflect the clinical effects of sensitive.2. This PRO scale and BODE index, CAT are positive correlation. This PRO scale can reflect disease severity of patients with COPD and pulmonary heart disease.GonclusionThis PRO scale is convenient for patients and has better sensitivity. It can be used as an instrument to measure the life quality and disease severity. It is simple, convenient and it has the characteristic of traditional Chinese medicine.
