The Study On The Work Of The Syndrome Differentiation And Treatment About The Spleen And Stomache Diseases Of The LingNan’s Famous TCM Doctor LuPengzhu

LingNan, located off the south of WuLing, also called the outside of the Wuling.It covers most area of the modern GuangDong, HaiNan and GuangXi and north of the Vietnam. The human environment, climate of the LingNan are different from the central plains region and Sanjiang region. The damp air mixed with the hot air often keeps in the spleen. And the staple food of the residents in lingNan are animals and birds, which often creates much damp and hot air. On the other hand, people are fond of cold drinks, which often injures the yang of the spleen. Owing to these, the peculiar constitution of the Lingnan people gradually formed, namely spleen qi deficiency with phlegm-dampness. LingNan’s diseases of spleen and stomach also formed its own distinct geographical feature:the syndrome of dampness-heat in the spleen is quite common, often with stomach Yin deficiency. The treatment to clear heat and resolve dampness, nourish Yin stomach should be taken by most of the TCM doctors. However, LuPengzhu as one of the outstanding representatives of lingnan TCM doctors, alone respects and adopts Huang Yuanyu’s academic thinking,"air flowing around, the spleen and stomach treated as the center of the five viscuses and six bowels. Yang flourished and Yin weakened." The differentiation of spleen and stomach diseases derserve the study and learning.It is beneficial to the clinical work Objective:Through the study of LuPengzhu’s spleen and stomach diseases, I will sum up the unique rule of the treatment. It is not only a reference for the cl inical work, but also a new content for the treatment of the Lingnan’s spleen and stomach diseases.Methods: I applied the comprehensive historical research, Chinese medicine academic research, comparative research, statistical analysis to my study It includes three important parts:1. Through the six spleen and stomach diseases of TCM, I summed up LuPeng’s academic point of view and rules of the hurbs application;2.Compared the syndrome differentiation of LuPengzhu’s to the the modern TCM、LingNan’s modern TCM doctors good at curing spleen and stomache diseases such as LiangNaijin, DengTietao, LaoShaoxian, XuXinmei on the spleen and stomache diseases, and further to demonstrate the style of LuPeng’s treatment;3、 five pieces of the medical cases are just to be put in the.thesis so as to demostrate LuPeng’s differentiation of treating the spleen and stomache diseases.Results:My thesis summarized LuPengzhu’s academic point of view:the physiological view "air flowing around, the spleen and stomach treated as the center of the five Zang and six Fu", the pathological view "the wet of Earth, the cold of Water, the depression of Wood"; the treatment view " WenTong middle-earth, and flourish Yang and weaken Yin"The paper also summed up the rules of the treatment of the spleen and stomache diseases:the pathological view "the wet of Earth,the cold of Water, the depression of Wood" runs through all of the diseases; LuPengzhu put more attention to the recovering of the middle qi; focus on the lift and down of the liver and gallbladder. As for the herbs’use, LuPengzhu takes more WenTong herbs than cold herbs. He is fond of taking the herbs such as BaiZhu, DangShen, FuLing, BaiXia, Ganjiang, which restore the gas of the Earth. Besides,Lu is good at using BaiShao, GuiZhi, EJiao,ShengDi to soothe and emolliate the liver, frenetic stirring of the ministerial fire, using BaiShao, if worst, adding HuangQin and double BaiShao;is used to taking GuiZhi to soothe the liver and regulate the1iver qi, taking EJiao to nourish the liver and emolliate the liver. He regards GuiZhi as liver yang and EJiao as the liver yin, and takes both of them to nourish the liver and extinguish wind. He also adopts GuiZhi and BaiShao to recover the liver qi and gallbladder qi.He is good at using BaiXia to direct stomache qi downward, CeBaiye to constrain the lung blood, FuLing> ZeXie to dry admpness of the spleen, FuLing、RouDoukou to astringe the intestines and check diarrhea, RouCongrong、MaZiren to relax the bowels, MaiDong、ShaoYao to clear sovereign and ministerial fire, and so on.In my thesis, I had already compared LuPengzhu’s with the modern TCM^LingNan’s modern TCM doctors good at curing spleen and stomache diseases such as LiangNaijin, DengTietao, LaoShaoxian, XuXinmei on the syndrome differentiation and treatment, and further to demonstrate the unique style of LuPeng’s treatment Conclusion:LuPengzhu holds the pathological view " the wet of Earth, the cold of Water, the depression of Wood",thus getting the treatment view " WenTong middle-earth, and flourish Yang and weaken Yin", which runs through all of the treatments of the TCM about the spleen and stomache diseases. LuPengzhu treats diseases firstly from the regulation of the spleen stomache liver gallbladder, pays more attention to the recovery of the yang qi of the Earth. Compared to the modern treatment of the TCM、 LingNan’s modern TCM doctors good at curing spleen and stomache diseases such as LiangNaijin, DengTietao, LaoShaoxian, XuXinmei on the syndrome differentiation and treatment, I proved that the LuPengzhu’s syndrome differention and treatment on the diseases of spleen and stomache is really diffenent from other TCM doctors, which is never mentioned before. However, for the orgnization of the medical cases, my thesis is still superficial, remains to be further studied.
