Chwushfang Treat In Subacute Eczema:Research In Damp Abundance Due To Deficiency Of Spleen And Quality Of Life

Eczema is a kind of scytitis caused by internal and external factors of dermal and epidermal inflammation, it is classified by type IV response. With a clear tendency of inflammatory skin exudate, accompanied by significant itching, easy to relapse and severely affecting the patient’s quality of life. The prevalence of eczema is7.5percent of the general population in China; in the USA is approximately10.7%,it’s a common disease in dermatology. Skin lesions with papules crusted, dry scaly skin bits, small blisters and mild erosion, consciously intense itching, get worse at night. The lesions affect the appearance, and patient’s physiological-psychological-social, thereby affecting the quality of life. By analyzing some severity cases, discuss the relationship between patient’s quality of life and traditional Chinese medicine.Objective:The clinical observation of treatment of damp abundance due to deficiency of spleen subacute eczema use traditional Chinese medicine, teacher experience, called Chwushfang. compare with western medicine called Cetirizine and discuss patient’s quality of life.Methods:In this study, patients were from the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital dermatology clinic.45patients with damp abundance due to deficiency of spleen were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, treatment group.25cases was treated with Chwushfang(twice a day), in the control group20cases was treated with Cetirizine(once day). After eight weeks of treatment, lesion area, severity index (EASI score) and quality of life (DLQI scale) were observed the impact of the eczema.Results:Two group of patients after treatment, the curative effect of the treatment group and the control group (p﹤0.05). eczema area and severity index (p﹤0.05) and dermatology life quality index (p﹤0.01) comparison all have the significance difference.Conclusion:The Chinese medicine. Chwushfang, treats eczema of damp abundance due to deficiency of spleen effectively. Eczema area and severity index, quality of life improvement and the curative effect to eczema skin surpasses the control group. There was significant difference between the treatment group and the control group.
