| Objective:Based on hospital information system operating platform, the aim of the Monitoring and Analyzing System online for the use of antibiotics was developed to share the information resources, monitor the application of antibacterial drugs in the medical institution constantly, and assess the suitability use of antimicrobial agents and analysis of usage trends. It can standardize the behavior of antibiotics for clinical use, reduce bacterial resistance, improve the level of rational drug use, and ensure the quality of medical care and medical safety through this system.Method:According to the hospital clinic pharmacy working features, the system uses out-patient and in-patient departments as basic unit,takes the drug information used in the prescriptions of CPR system as the main data resources, adopts the DDD analysis method recommended by WHO and the calculation method of antibiotic drug monitoring by " Monitoring Network of Clinical Antibiotic Drug Use" and "Rational Use of drug in Medical Institutions "to inquire and analyze the use of antibiotic drugs in our hospital.The system adopts Client/Server framework in the environment of WINDOWS2003server operating systems and the local hospital area network. The backstage supporter adopts the large-scale database of SQL SERVER enterprises edition. The front stage uses PowerBuilder9.0programming tool to develop the built-in software on the HIS platform for the need of clinic monitoring The embedded software was also installed into department working stations for the doctors and pharmacists to monitor the clinical use of antibiotics, which was divided into five modules, namely,"The user login","Drug Information Maintenance","the basis of data query","statistical indicators Query","the data output"Results:The monitoring and analysis system achieved the following functions to meet the management requirements of the health administration department of antimicrobial agents and the actual hospital clinical quality management needs. 1. This system counts up and reflects the indicators of antimicrobial agents use in the hospital directly. Statistical indicators included four parts, namely outpatient indicators (per capita number of varieties, the per capita medical expenses, utilization, etc.), inpatient indicators (intensity of use, the utilization rate, the per capita number of varieties, etc.), surgical indicators (prophylaxis percentage of per capita medication days) and the amount of antimicrobial drug consumption.2. This system express the antimicrobial agents indicator data through the form of histograms, pie charts, graphs, chart analysis capabilities of the system, to grasp the antimicrobial drug usage and assess usage trends in general for the policy maker.The histogram and line graph can compare the fee and the quantity per capita of the drug use in the same period horizontally and vertically. It can analyze the formation and quantity of different antibiotic drugs by pie charts.Conclusion:The system has several advantages, such as intuitive interface, easy operation, simple and luminous data charts listed, which can effectively reduce the data processing work intensity and improve working efficiency. It has played an important role in monitoring the clinical use of antibiotics in the hospital special antibacterial drug rectification activities. The accuracy and practicality of the system has been verified. So it is worth learning and promoting for peers and in Grade2hospitals or above. The application of this system has the important significance for standardizing prescription behavior, improving the quality of management and research for the using of antibacterial and reducing resistance, and promoting the position and function of pharmacist. It could provide some practical experience for exploring the antimicrobial drug monitoring mode, establish the unified normal and practical standards, and realize the clinical monitoring of antibiotics with automation, information, and intelligence ways. |
