| Objective To investigate the relationship in the peripheral blood endothelial progenitorcells and congestive heart failure and their correlation with the severity.Methods1ã€96cases of heart failure patients according to New York HeartAssociation functional class is divided into four groups(I:22cases, II:25cases, III:26cases, IV:23cases) and25cases of normal control group.2ã€Endothelial progenitorcells, left ventricular end-diastolic volume (LVEDV), left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) andBNP were measured between the control group and heart failure group.3ã€To mark for CD34ã€CD45surface, measured peripheral blood endothelial progenitorcells number with flow cytometric.Brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) used radiationimmune verification method. left ventricular end-diastolic olume and ejection fractionwere measure by color doppler echocardiography meter.4ã€Statistical analysis:UseSPSS13.0software and mark the measurement data with mean±standard deviation(x±s) in all observed indicators. The each gender group compares with chi-square test, and the rest of the data using One-Way ANOVA comparing with the difference betweeneach group. P <0.05was statistical difference, while P <0.01was significantdifference. Results Endothelial progenitor cells cells are increased in NYHA Class I and NYHAClass II with respect to controls(P<0.01)ï¼›Endothelial progenitor cells are significantlydecreased in NYHA Class IV and NYHA Class III with respect to controls(P<0.05或P<0.01); the heart failure patients increase significantly BNP levels than the controlgroup, and the severity of the heart failure with BNP is positively correlated. Conclusion Endothelial progenitor cells in the heart failure patients show a biphasicresponse, with elevation and depression in the early and advanced phases, respectively. These findings suggest that impaired endothelial progenitor cellsrecruitment might be involved in the pathophysiology of severe heart failure. |
