Anshen Mixture Union Deanxit Clinical Study In Comorbid Anxiety And Depression After Cerebral Infarction

Objective:To observe the effects of Anshen Mixture union Deanxit on anxiety,depression and neurologic function of cerebral infar-ction patients.Methods:One hundred five patients with anxiety and depression after cerebral infarction were randomly divided into groups cont-rol, observation and experimental. Each group had35cases.All the patients were given conventional therapy and psychological treatment. Both observation and experimental group were given Deanxit, while the experimental group were given additional Anshen Mixture therapy. The treatment of all groups lasted6weeks. Before and after treatment, the anxiety and depression of patients were evaluated by Hamilton Depression scale(HAMD) and Hamilton Anxiety scale(HAMA). The activity of daily life of patients were measured by Modified Barthel Index(MBI) and the neurologic function were analysed by Canadian Neurological scale (CNS).By comparing the score to observe the improvement in depression and anxiety, the degree of CNS recovered and the situation of the quality of life changed.Results: The neurologic function recovery in the control, observ-ation and experimental groups were54.3%,74.3%and85.7%,and the anxiety and depression recovery31.4%,71.4%and85.7%. The results in both observation and experimental groups were significantly better than in the control group (P<0.01). The results in experimental group were better than in observation group.Conelusion:Anshen Mixture union Deanxit and psychological treatment to treat anxiety and depression after cerebral infarction have a definite clinical effect. It not only can improve patient’s anxiety and depression, promote the neurologic function recovery,but also improve the quality of life of cerebral infarction patients. And there are no adverse reactions.So it develop a new way to treat anxiety and depression after cerebral infarction.
