Objective:To Objective To understand the prevalence of overweight and obesity andhigh blood pressure among hasakh children aged7~14years, and analyze theComparison of BMI and blood pressure and metabolic index. Methods:Stratified randomcluster sampling method was used to select the children from the Yili Kazakh autonomyregion in Xinjiang China from May to June2009. Height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, skinfold thickness and Blood pressure were collected from2438students of7~14years age. BMI was calculated. Detected metabolic index (TC, TG, HDL,LDL, FPG, FINS), and HOMA-IR was calculated of children in28cases of obesity withhypertension group,58cases of simple obesity group and60cases of normal controlgroup, compare mean of all indicators among the three groups. Analyze the relationshipbetween BMI, SBP, DBP and serum indices. Results:(1) The prevalence of obesity andoverweight in Yili Kazakh autonomy region was1.64%(40/2438) and5.13%(25/2438);(2)The prevalence of hypertension was5.7%(138/2438) in2438children. The averagesystolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP) were(94±13)mmHg、(60±9)mmHg;(3) There was a positive correlation between SBP, DBP, hypertension andBMI, age, pender, waist circumference, hip circumference, skinfold thicknesscircumference;(4)These were differences compared mean of BMI, SBP, DBP and TC,TG, HDL, LDL, FPG, FINS, HOMA-IR among the three groups(P<0.05). The maximumwere mean of TC, LDL, FPG, HOMA-IR in obesity with hypertension group, and theminimum was mean of HDL in its too;(5) In Pearson correlation analysis: therelationship is directly among BMI and TC, LDL, FPG, FINS, HOMA-IR; there is nodirectly among BMI and HDL, no directly among SBP, DBP and TC, LDL, FPG, FINS, HOMA-IR; no relationship among BMI, SBP, DBP and TG;(6) Multiple linearregression analysis: To TC, TG, HDL, LDL, FPG, FINS, HOMA-IR as independengvariables, on BMI as the dependent variable, TC, HDL, LDL, HOMA-IR entered theequation; on SBP as the dependent variable, TC, HDL, LDL, HOMA-IR entered too; onDBP as the dependent variable, TG, HDL, LDL, HOMA-IR entered too. Conclusions:1)Compared to Chinese children, Kazakh childhood obestiy rate was between small andmedium-sized cities, and affluent village;2) The average blood pressure levels amonghasakh children is low in domestic children.3) The morbidity of high blood pressure wasin medium level in children with age at home and abroad.4) Obesity is highly correlatedwith hypertension.5) The occurrence of obesity or obesity with high blood pressure inchildren, was closely related with dyslipidemia, HOMA-IR, to blood glucose to bein-depth study. The relationshiop was to step forward research and discussion amongblood pressure and dyslipidemia, blood glucose, HOMA-IR.
