Comparative Study Of690Cases Of Mandibular Impacted Impacted Tooth Two Kinds Of Removal

Objective：To discuss the advantages and disadvantages of two extraction methodsfor690cases mandibular impacted teeth patients,which is helpful for making clinicaloperation method choice. Methods：collect clinical data of690patients who extractedmandibular impacted teeth from2006April to2011September were selected from firsthospital of Xinjiang Medical University and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regionpeople’s Hospital, according to the different extraction methods they were divided in tohigh speed turbine drill group and chisel split crown extraction group, then clinical dataand postoperative complications of two groups were statistically analyzed. Results：690cases of mandibular impacted teeth patients include322cases of male （46.67%）and368cases of female （53.3%）, the gender ratio is7:8, the age range between18-84,410patients between18-30（59.42%）,280patients older than30（40.58%）. Which include117cases of mesial impacted （16.9%）,54cases of distal impacted （7.8%）,104casesof buccal impacted （15.1%）,72cases of lingual impacted （10.4%）,131cases ofvertical impacted （18.9%）,80cases of inversely impacted （11.6%）,132cases ofhorizontal impacted （19.1%）.68cases of postoperative concurrent root fracture（9.86%）,77cases of adjacent teeth or jaw injury （11.16%）,14cases of jaw fractures（2.03%）,66cases of temporomandibular joint dislocation （9.57%）,105cases ofrestriction of mouth opening（15.22%）,67cases of stem cell disease（9.71%）,111casesof lower lip paresthesia （16.09%）. Statistical analysis indicates there were significantdiffrences between postoperative complications of two groups （P＜0.05）, the high speedturbine drill extraction group presented lower complications than chisel split crownextraction group. Conclusion： high speed turbine drill with faster speed, little vibration, grinding force, which can shorten operation time, reduce tooth extraction wound injuryand postoperative complications, for patients with median level impacted tooth chisel splitcrown extraction method can shorten operation time, reduce patients’ pain and localswelling, operation without the need to remove bone,which is an ideal extraction type.Therefore it is important to choose the most suitable extraction method according to theimpacted degree.
