Study Of The Express Of TNF-α In Aqueous Humor Of Secondary Glaucoma After Silicone Oil Injection

Objective:To study the express of TNF-α in aqueous humor of secondary glaucoma aftersilicone oil injection.Methods:50patients with retinal detachment treated by using vitrectomy and silicon oilinjection and received the operation of silicon oil removal were chosen and dividedinto observation group and control group. The concentration of TNF-α in theaqueous humor specimen, which were collected from patients in both the two groupsbefore the silicon oil removal operation, were detected and compared between thetwo groups.Results:The silicone oil in anterior chamber, peripheral anterior synechia of iris, pupilblock, emulsified silicone oil, intraocular lens and aphacia in observation group weremore compared with control group, but the differences have no statisticalsignificance(p>0.05). The concentration of TNF-α was1.13±0.12ng/ml inobservation group, significantly much higher than0.71±0.11ng/ml in controlgroup(p<0.01).Conclusion:The silicone oil in anterior chamber, peripheral anterior synechia of iris, pupilblock, emulsified silicone oil, intraocular lens and aphacia might be the risk factorsof secondary glaucoma after silicone oil glaucoma. The content of the TNF-α in theaqueous humor in the patients of of secondary glaucoma after vitrectomy and siliconoil injection silicone oil injection is obviously higher, hence, TNF-α may be asignificant factor in the pathogenesis of the silicon oil glaucoma.
