Effect Of Tongxinluo Capsule On Patients With CHD Combined By DM And Its Influence On Blood HbAlc Levels

Objective To study the effect of Tongxinluo capsule on the treatment of coronary heartdisease complicated by diabetes mellitus and its influence on the blood HbA1clevel.Methods Sixty patients with coronary heart disease complicated by diabetesmellitus were randomly divided into two groups.Cases in the control group were treated byconventional Western Medicine;Patients in the Tongxinluo group were treated bycombination of Tongxinluo capsule, orally,3pills each time,3times a day.The therapeuticcourse was six months in two groups.Before treatment ask in detail about age,sex,history,body weight index and recorded.Observe the TCM symptoms and its integral,ECG, bloodglucose,HbA1c level and other related index both befor and after treatment. Results①The curative effect both of the total and TCM symptoms in the Tongxinluo group aremuch better than that in the control group(P＜0.05).②The integral of TCM symptomsdecreased in two groups(P＜0.05),but it decreased much nore obviously in the Tongxinluogroup after treatment(P＜0.05).③The ECG findings are improved much more obviouslyin yhe Tongxinluo group(P＜0.05); while in the control group it was no significantdifference before and after treatment.④The HbA1c level in two groups are both icreasedobviously(P＜0.05),but it is more effective in the Tongxinluo group after the treatment.Conclusion Tongxinluo capsule can obviously improve TCM symptoms of CHD withDM, and it can reduce the HbA1c level.
