Objective:To detect the expression of p-mTOR、p-4EBP1and p-S6K1in breastcarcinoma and tumor adjacent tissues, futhermore to investigate their relationship withclinicopathological index. Methods:Expressions of p-mTOR, p-4EBP1and p-S6K1weredetected in116cases of breast carcinoma and tumor adjacent tissues byimmunohistochemical methods.Meanwhile, the relationship between the three indicatorsand clinicopathological index was analyzed. Results:(1)The expression of p-mTOR、p-4EBP1and p-S6K1in breast carcinoma were68.1%,65.5%,59.5%respectively,and50.0%,12.1%,44.0%in tumor adjacent, differences are all signifigant(P<0.05).(2)Expression of p-mTOR was correlation with p-4EBP1and p-S6K1(r=0.458,P<0.05;r=0.383,P<0.05),but no correlation between p-4EBP1with p-S6K1(P>0.05).(3)Univariate analysis results were that p-mTOR was no correlation with age, tumorsize, histological grade, expression of ER、PRand Her-2(P>0.05),but related with lymphnode metastasis and clinical stages (P<0.05); p-4EBP1and p-S6K1were both related withlymph node metastasis (P<0.05),but not with other index(P>0.05). Multivariate analysisresults were that p-mTOR only related with lymph node metastasis (OR=4.305,95%CI:1.854~9.995,P=0.001); p-4EBP1related with lymph node metastasi(sOR=2.701,95%CI:1.226~5.951,P=0.014); p-S6K1related with lymph node metastasis(OR=2.437,95%CI:1.141~5.208,P=0.021).Conclusion:(1) mTOR,4EBP1and S6K1weresignificantly activated in breast carcinoma, which indicates mTOR signal pathway playsimportant roles in the development of breast carcinoma.(2) p-mTOR was correlation withp-4EBP1and p-S6K1,which indicates that these three combine action in the breast carcinoma.(3) The expression of p-mTOR,p-4EBP1and p-S6K1were significantly related withlymph node metastasis, which indicates that these three may participate in the process oflymph node metastasis.
