Multivariate Logistic Regression Analysis Of Carotid Atherosclerosis

Objects: To probe into the dangerous factors which are caused by the narrowness ofcarotid atherosclerosis. Methods: Collect117carotid atherosclerosis patients who areoperated from February2002to June2011. These patients are proved to have carotidatherosclerosis plaques. We compare these patients with104patients who don’t have theconstrictions by checking the neck DSA. We record the age, sex, nation, heredity,smoking, high pressure, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipaemia, homocysteine, blood viscosity,.c-creative protein, HDL indicators of two groups patients. We carry out a regressionanalysis to these factors. Results: In the single analysis, there are statistics significancebetween the two groups in the factors of age, sex, nation, heredity, smoking, high pressure,diabetes mellitus, hyperlipaemia, homocysteine, blood viscosity, C-creative protein,(P<0.05). We find smoking, high pressure, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipaemia andhomocysteine are the dangerous factors of carotid atherosclerosis by the further multipleregression analysis.(P<0.05)Conclusion: The smoking, high pressure, diabetes mellitus,hyperlipaemia, homocysteine are the independent dangerous factors of the carotidatherosclerosis.
