[Objective]The aim of this research is to study the quality of life and depression in patients with coronary heart disease and the impact of depression on quality of life.[Methods]All these146consecutive patients with coronary artery disease who successfully undergoing Coronary angiography witch sent in the department of cardiology of Yangzhou hospital from september,2009to September,2010were enrolled.The SF-36quality of life questionnaire and the SDS questionnaire were used in this study. We also analyzed correlation between depression and the quality of life. The database was set up with SPSS17.0and all the data were entered separately by two persons and inspected. SPSS17.0soft wares were adopted to analyze the data, and the t-test, correlation.[Results]1.The quality of life of patients with coronary artery disease was significantly lower in all the eight variables of SF-36compared with the people in Sichuan province (P<0.01) and Americans (P<0.05)2.The incidence of depression in patients with coronary heart disease is17.21%.Correlation Analysis of the scour of SDS and the SF-36quality of life questionnaire demonstrated that depression influence patients with coronary heart disease’physical functioning, role-physical, bodily pain, role-emotional, mental health and quality of life (P<0.05).Depressed patients’physical functioning, role-physical, bodily pain, Vitality,role-emotion and quality of life is significantly lower than patients without depress (P<0.05) [Conclusions]1. Patients with coronary heart disease’ quality of life are lower than normal people.2. The incidence of depression in patients with coronary heart disease is higher than normal people,depression is a risk factor of people with quality of life coronary heart disease.3.The quality of depressed patients with coronary heart disease is lower than non-depressed patients with coronary heart disease.
