Objective:To observe the clinical symptoms, TCM symptoms related laboratory tests, the change of influence, and evaluate its effectiveness and safety of Buyanghuanwu Decoction for treating aged coronary heart disease stable angina with Qi deficiency and blood stasis.Method:81senile patients with aged coronary heart disease stable angina belonging to the syndrome of the deficient-qi and blood stasis were randomly divided into two groups:Treatment group (n=41) and control group (n=40), two groups in age, gender,disease, mutagen and before treatment condition etc. Treatment group treated with western medicine combine with Buyanghuanwu decoction, control group treated with single western medicine, the formula was given for2weeks. To observe the effectiveness before and after of angina, ECG, nitroglycerin, TCM symptoms, CRP, hemorheology, hepatic/renal function, blood analysis, urine routine and etc.Results:After treatment, the rates of the total effectiveness, ECG and nitroglycerin of the treatment group were87.80%、65.85%、78.05%, the rates for the control group were50.00%、30.00%、37.50%,Two groups of comparisons are significant (P<0.05); The treatment group was better to improve patients’symptoms than control group. Two groups after treatment, the curative effect of TCM symptoms, individual symptoms of Chinese medicine and TCM symptoms total credit had improved (P<0.05or0.01). The effectiveness in the treatment group was more better than the control group (P<0.05). Two groups were also improved in CRP and hemorheology, the treatment group was better to improve patients’symptoms in hemorheology than control group. The change of CRP, according to the statistics analysis, the comparison between two groups had significant differences (P>0.05). Clinical observation found no adverse reaction and apparent side effects.Conclusion:The treatment combining the use of Buyanghuanwu Decoction and routine treatment of western medicine has better effects on aged coronary heart disease angina pectoris than the treatment with routine treatment of western medicine only.
