| ObjectiveTo discuss the characteristics of the perioperative period management for the unstablepelvic fractures and provide a direction of the treatment for those fractures.Methods64patients with unstable pelvic fracture were treated with external fixation andiliosacral screw, which underwent with a good management of the perioperative period.52Males and12Females,aged from20to52years. Use the Tile Classification for pelvicfractures:40for C1,11for C2and13for C3. All the operation was performed under C-armfluoroscopic. Majeedscale was used to evaluate the outcomes.ResultsAll patients were followed up successed, from8months to2years with an average of10months.49cases received a well union in4months after the operation and15cases in5months. No case with infection or neural complication was observed. The intraoperativehemorrhage was10to20ml in these cases with an average of12ml. the operation timewas from30mins to55mins with the average of40mins. the mean bone union time were13weeks(range,11to17weeks),and the mean Majeed score were89.5points(range,62to100points).The functional outcome reached to being excellent in33,good in26,and fair in5,with a good and excellent result of92.1%.One patient showed sever gaitabnormalconclusion:Well management of the perioperative period treatment and a good operation choice isefficient for the treatment of the unstable pelvic fractures; the intraoperative hemorrhage,operation time and the rate of infection are relative reduced. |
