Objective:To investigate the expression of FGF-9,ANG-2and MVD in EOC,benign ovariantumor tissues and normal ovarian tissues, count MVD.To analyses clinic-pathologicalfeatures and correlation of ovarian cancer and FGF-9,Ang-2.Explore the mechanism actionof FGF-9,Ang-2in ovarian cancer and their relationship with angiogenesis.Methods:We studied40cases of EOC,25cases of benign tumor and15cases of normal ovarytissue was carried out from the affiliated hospital of Taishan Medical University and theCentral Hospital of Taian during Jan2008and Dec2009.The patterns were detected byimmunohistochemically assay.The average age of EOC is53.The40cases of EOCincludes23serous cystadenomas,10mucous cystadenomas and7endometrioidcarcinomas;Ⅰ stage10,Ⅱ stage7,Ⅲstage15and Ⅳstage8;by FIGO staging;G17,G212andG321by histological degree.Statistical analysis was performed with statistical program for social sciences13.0software,using Chi-square,one-way ANOVA,t-text and nonparametric test.Statisticalsignificant level was considered as “alpha equals0.05”.Results1.The positive rate of FGF-9in40cases of EOC was52.50%,in25cases of benigntumor was24.0%, in15cases of normal ovary tissues was20.0%.The expression of FGF-9in EOC and in the benign tumors was significant differences as well as in EOC and innormal ovary tissues (P<0.05, P<0.05).The expression of FGF-9was no significantdifferences in the benign tumors and in normal ovary tissues (P>0.05). The expression ofFGF-9in EOC is related with the histological grade, non-ascites,FIGO staging andlymphnode metastasis,(P<0.05), but the expression is no related with the age, and pathological type (P>0.05).2.The positive rate of ANG-2in40cases of EOC was57.5%,in25cases of benigntumor was24.0%,and in15cases of normal ovary tissues was36.4%.The expression ofcaspase-3was significant differences between EOC and the benign tumors (P<0.05).Theexpression of caspase-3was no significant differences in the benign tumors and in normalovary tissues (P>0.05).The expression of ANG-2in EOC is related with the histologicalgrade and FIGO staging,non-ascites and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05),but theexpression is no related with the age (P>0.05).3.The number of MVD in40cases of EOC was18.89±5.40,in25cases of benigntumor was9.60±3.43,in15cases of normal ovary tissues was9.67±3.57.The expression ofMVD in EOC and in the benign tumors were significant differences as well as in EOC andin normal ovary tissues(P<0.05,P<0.05).The expression of MVD was no significantdifferences in the benign tumors and in normal ovary tissues (P>0.05).The expression ofMVD in EOC is related with the histological grade, FIGO staging and lymphnodemetastasis,(P<0.05), but the expression is no related with the age,non-ascites andhistologictype (P>0.05).4.The expressions of FGF-9and ANG-2had positive correlation in the samesamples(rs=0.397,P<0.05).Conclusion1.The expression of FGF-9is up-regulation in the normal ovary tissues, benign tumorand the EOC,but the positive expression of FGF-9is related with the histologicalgrade,FIGO staging and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05),The expression of FGF-9closelyrelated to the invasion and metastasis of epithelia ovarian carcinoma, and may promote thedevelopment and metastasis of epithelia ovarian carcinoma. Can be used as one of theindicators and supporting biological therapeutic targets to determine the poor prognosis ofepithelial ovarian cancer.2.The expression of ANG-2is up-regulation in the normal ovary tissues, benign tumorand EOC, it is related with the histological grade, FIGO staging and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05), which indicts that the expression of ANG-2is related with carcinogenesis anddevelopment of EOC.3.The expression of MVD is significant increased with normal tissue, it is related withthe histological grade, FIGO staging and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05), but no relatedwith age and ascite, that MVD values is indicts development of carcinogenesis and theEOC. 4.The expressions of FGF-9and ANG-2in ovarian cancer were coincident,andpositively correlated with MVD count. They play an important role in the oncogenesis andangiogenesis of ovarian cancer,and maybe do as an evaluation indexes of malignantdisease.
