Clinical Curative Effect Observation On Rheumatoid Arthritis With Dampness-heat Blockage Syndromes Treated By Coix Seed Rice Congee

ObjectiveThis randomized controlled trial aimed to compare and observe the Western medicine in the treatment of Dampness-heat blockage Type Rheumatoid arthritis with Chinese medicated diet of Coix seed rice congee. This observation provided reference frame of adjunctive therapy for Dampness-heat blockage Type Rheumatoid arthritis.MethodsThe observation were included76patients with RA met the preliminary criteria, used a random, open, parallel, comparative trial. The76cases were randomly divided into two groups, the observation group and the control group both comprised38cases. The control group was treated by MTX and Diclofenac. Based on the treatment of the control group, the observation group was added to Chinese medicated diet of Coix seed rice congee daily morning and evening time. This clinical observation lasted3months. After that, we analysis and compared the clinical symptom and sign, RF, CRP, ESR, DAS28standars and TCM syndrome integral effect, as well as security indicators:blood routine, urine routine, fecal routine, liver function, kidney function, ECG. Then we could certify the clinical efficacy and safety of Chinese medicated diet of Coix seed rice congee.ResultsThe study eventually completed70cases(drop-out rate=7.9%). The observation group included35cases and the control group included35cases.Comparing the DAS28curative effect, the total effective rate of the observation group was88.6%. It’s better than the control group’s which was80.0%. There was significant difference between observation and control groups (P<0.01)。Comparing the TCM symptom, the total effective rate of the observation group was82.9%. It’s much better than the control group’s which was60.0%. There was also significant difference between observation and control groups (P<0.01)。After treatment, the number of swollen joints, joint tenderness number, overall self-evaluation, CRP, ESR and RF have improved significantly (P<0.05). ESR, overall self-evaluation of the two groups show statistical significance after treatment (P<0.05). The observation group is better than the control group in improving ESR, self evaluation.There is no significant difference in the rate of adverse drug reactions of the two groups (P>0.05).The observation group did not increase the incidence of adverse reactions with the clothing of Coix seed rice congee. It is safety.ConclusionsUsing Coix seed rice congee combine with western medicine to treat Dampness-heat blockage Type Rheumatoid arthritis is much better than the pure western medicine therapy. The former is able to improve patients’self-evaluation, DAS28score and TCM symptom. It does not increase the incidence of adverse reactions with no dangerousness. Therefore, Coix seed rice congee can assist the treatment of Dampness-heat blockage Type Rheumatoid arthritis in a certain extent.
