| Objective:Uising the Magnetic resonance imaging,we studied the healthy hippocampal formation of Chinese people to get the volume datas of hip pocampal formation,providing the relevent datas for clinical disease preca ution and diagnosis.Methods:68healthy adult brain were scaned using the3D-fSPGR sequence.10axial scan image were aquired equally in the area between on edge the dorsal thalamus and the middle of pons,10coronal image were aquired equally in the area between posterior border the rostrum of corpus callosum and anterior border the splenium of corpus callosum,10sagittal image were aquired equally in the area between the bilateral lateral margin of the fourth ventreous body and corresponding lateral border of vitreous,10oblique coronal image were aquired equally in the area between posterior border the rostrum of corpus callosum and posterior border the splenium of corpus callosum.Draw the outline of the hippocampal formation and calculate the volume of hippocampus. Datas were analysed by using the SPSS17.0software,normal distribution test data through non-parametric tests, hippocampal formation volume of male and female differences in selection of independent samples T-test, and the left and right sides of the diff selection paired samples T-test, the original and the relative volume of the hippocampal formation optional pairingsample T-test, the comparative selection differences among age groups analysis of variance, hippocampal formation volume and cranial cavity volume correlation test.Results:On the axial scan plane, the average volume of the left of normal adult hippocampal formation structure (2176.81~2420.27)mm3, right (2340.42~2591.70) mm3,and the average volume of men’s left side (2135.00~2494.29)mm3,right side (2255.63~2650.49)mm3, the average volume of women’s left side (2105.45~2458.18)mm3, right side (2311.68~2647.43)mm3.On the coronal plane, the average volume of the left of normal adult hippocampal formation structure (2319.87~2602.47)mm3, right (2443.96~2755.89)mm3,and the average volume of men’s left side (2135.00~2494.29)mm3, right side (2350.21~2745.61)mm3, the average volume of women’s left side (2328.13~2748.41)mm3, right side (2398.41~2909.48)mm3. On the sagittal plane, the average volume of the left of normal adult hippocampal formation structure (2579.42~2803.27)mm3, right (2649.92~2903.17)mm3,and the average volume of men’s left side (2526.32~2886.94)mm3, right side (2601.84~2986.44)mm3, the average volume of women’s left side (2579.42~2803.27)mm3, right side (2531.88~2819.06)mm3. On the oblique coronal plane, the average volume of the left of normal adult hippocampal formation structure (2190.95~2417.27)mm3, right (2335.55~2563.35)mm3,and the average volume of men’s left side (2177.73~2542.8)mm3, right side (2270.15~2640.99)mm3, the average volume of women’s left side (2104.61~2386.90)mm3, right side (2299.36~2586.82)mm3. The oblique coronal the original hippocampal formation volume exists gender differences (t=2.514, P<0.05),the difference disappeared after treatment relative volume. Axial scan, coronal, sagittal and oblique coronal hippocampal formation volume performance for the left and right sides of a significant difference (P<0.05). Coronal and sagittal planes right hippocampal formation volume between the middle-aged group and the elderly group, there were significant differences (P<0.05). The cross-sectional and oblique coronal hippocampal formation volume numerical difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The axial scan, coronal, and sagittal hippocampal formation volume and cranial cavity volume correlation (P<0.05), but after the relative treatment, the correlation between the two disappeared (P>0.05), male oblique coronal plane relative to the volume of the hippocampal formation within the cranial cavity volume correlation (left r=-0.443,P<0.05; right side r=0.429,P<0.05).Conclusion:In healthy Chinese adult,the right hippocampal formation is1arger than the left part.The volume of hippocampal formation makes no d ifference by age. Datas from axial section and oblique coronal section ha ve minimize differences.And datas measured on Sagittal cross-section are more similar to the true value. The formula used in this article applies only in coronal plane study of hippocampal formation. |
