| ObjectiveClinic treatment has paid much attention on Dicogenic low backpain in recent years. The pain is usually at the middle part of the lowerwaist. However, the root pain and branch pain rarely happened.Patients always suffer pain, nevertheless, in most of the condition, itcan’t be observed obviously. Clinicians deem it to be a tough chronicdisease and it always relapses after little relief. The way of treatmentcan be divided into operation and non-operation. Due to the invasiveand the risk of the operation as well as the high expenses and thepatients’ sense of fear, the limitation of the surgical treatment has beenenlarged. Accordingly, the non-operative treatment has become the firstchoice among public. The ways and species of traditional remedy andthe physical remedy of conservative treatment are varied. The thesisnot only focuses on the combination of the massage from conservativetreatment and the thermotherapy from physical treatment but alsocompares it with pure massage to investigate the action principle, actualeffects and the clinical value of the combination of massage and thethermotherapy. MethodsThe thesis is including80cases of illness of DBP Dicogenic lowback pain which gathered from the records in Hubei Hospital ofTraditional Chinese Medicine. The age of patients is ranging from22to46and the average age is38.25. The cases have48in man and32inwoman with6months to3years’ diseases’ length. That’s20.25monthson average which correspond to diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteriaand exclusion criteria. The80patients were randomly divided into2groups: control group and observation group,40in each group. It iscomparable because there is no distinct difference of sexes, ages andcourses of treatment among patients of these two groups (P>0.05).The control group uses the method of massage. There are threecourses of treatment. Each course consists of5times therapy insuccession. The observation group takes the measure of thecombination treatment of massage and thermotherapy, thermotherapyfirst. The processing of massage is just like the way of it works in controlgroup. The thermotherapy is taken once a day. In same, there are threecourses of treatment. Each course consists of5times therapy insuccession. The VAS is used to evaluate the efficacy before and after thetreatment. Oswestry index and the duration of sitting will be observedand recorded. Statistics will be analysed by SPSS17.0.ResultsIn general, the effective rate of the observation group is95%andthe control group is90%. The lack of statistical significance (P>0.05)shows that the massage and the combination of massage andthermotherapy are both effective. The effective rate of one course’streatment of the observation group is90%and it is72.5%of the controlgroup. The observation group is better than the control group. The difference possesses statistical significance(P<0.05). Obviously, theonset time of observation group is earlier than it of control group. Thesetwo groups have no distinct difference among the evaluation of VAS,the duration of sitting and the Oswestry index before treatment (P>0.05),so they are comparable. The evaluation results from VAS, duration ofsitting and the Oswestry index between two groups is tested by t andP<0.05. The difference has statistical significance. It shows that theobservation group is prior to control group in the aspect of theimprovement of patient’s symptom and sign. Conclusion:During the treatment of DBP Dicogenic low back pain, thecombination of massage and the thermotherapy is better than puremassage in all aspects of onset time, curative effect as well asimprovement and prevention. Altogether, the combination of massageand the thermotherapy is worth being applied and being popularized inclinic treatment. |
