1ObjectiveTo investigate the efficacy and safety of CanSha Prescription combine withCetirizine and Ranitidine in the treatment of chronic urticaria.Chronic urticaria is a common skin problem, because of their repeated attacks,the protraction and intense itching, which would affect the patient’s work,study and daily life, resulting mental and psychological pressure to thepatients. Currently, antihistamines are generally used in the treatment ofchronic urticaria with western medicines. The symptoms and signs of thepatients can be controlled while on medicine, once you stop, the disease willbe relapsable. Relatively speaking, the treatment of chronic urticaria withChinese medicine has obvious advantages. It’s obviously able to reduce therecurrence rate. We use the the combination of chinese and western medicinein the treatment of chronic urticaria. We use the cansha Prescription combinewith cetirizine and ranitidine in the treatment of chronic urticaria. On the onehand, the symptoms and signs can be controlled rapidly, on the other hand, therecurrence can be prevented and it has a satisfactory effect. The purpose of this clinical study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of the ModifiedCanSha Prescription combines Cetirizine,Ranitidine in the treatment ofchronic urticaria and to provide the basis for the clinical medication, in orderto promote the use of it.2MethodsThis study divided60patients which accorded the inclusion criteria from2012.4-2012.12Hubei Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospitaloutpatient department of Dermatology into the treatment group and the controlgroup randomly,30cases in each group. Treatment group were givenModified CanSha Prescription, twice a day, each time150ml, after meal;Cetirizine dispersible tablets10mg take orally once a day, taking half an hourbefore bedtime; Ranitidin oral capsules150mg, take one pill after eachmorning and evening meals. The control group were given Cetirizinedispersible tablets10mg take orally once a day, taking half an hour beforebedtime; Ranitidine hydrochloride oral capsules150mg, take one pill aftereach morning and evening meals. Two groups were treated for one month,observed the condition of illness and recorded adverse reactions during thetreatment. After stop using the medicine and continue a observation for2months, in order to record the patient’s recurrence.3Results3.1The comparison of two groups patient’s age, gender, and duration throughthe statistical treatment, the difference has not statistically significant (P> 0.05), comparable.3.2The comparison of two groups patient’s after treatment itching degreethrough the statistical treatment, the difference has statistically significant (P<0.05), indicating that the treatment group is better than the control group.3.3The comparison of two groups patient’s after treatment total score throughthe statistical treatment, the difference has statistically significant (P <0.05),indicating that the treatment group is better than the control group.3.4The comparison of two groups patient’s after treatment recurrence ratethrough the statistical treatment, the difference has statistically significant (P<0.05), indicating that the treatment group is better than the control group.4ConclusionThe study results showed that using Modified CanSha Prescription combinesCetirizine, Ranitidine was one of the effective treatments in the treatment ofchronic urticaria which was worthwhile for spreading in clinical practice. Onthe one hand, the patient’s symptoms and signs can be controlled quickly withWestern medicine; On the other hand, the recurrence can be effectivelyprevented with Chinese medicine. At the same time, adverse reactions werenot appeared clearly during the treatment, also the treatment supports highsecurity and less side effects.
