| AIM: The expression and significance of E-cadã€P53and Ki-67in triple negativebreast cancer were studied to find the difference among the groups of Luminal Aã€Luminal Bã€HER2over-expressxioned and triple negative breast cancer.METHODS: The cases of190breast cancers were retrospectively analyzed in TheFirst Hospital’s of LianYungang from January2010to December2012.According toimmunohistochemical staining(ERã€PRã€HER2and Ki-67) results the patients weredivided into four groups.Group1(Triple Negative group) for50cases,Group2(LuminalA) for33cases,Group3(Luminal B) for54cases,Group4(HER2Over-exprssionedgroup) for53cases.To determine the expression of E-cadã€P53and Ki-67in190cases ofbreast cancer by immunohistochemistry techniques EnVision.The aim was to analyzedthe relationship between these proteins and clinicopathological parameters by χ2test.RESULTS: The E-cad positive rate(54.0%) in the Triple Negative group waslower than Luminal B(70.4%),but pairwise comparison was not statistically significantdifference(P>0.05).The comparison with the luminal A (54.5%) and the HER2over-expressioned group(60.4%) was’t statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Incases of the Triple Negative group,E-cad is connected with lymph node metastasis(P<0.05),and is not connected with histological grade and TNM stage(P>0.05).The P53positive rate(70.0%) in the Triple Negative group was exectly higher thanthe Luminal A (30.3%)ã€the Luminal B (27.8%) and the HER2over-expressionedgroup(41.5%),pairwise comparison was statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Incases of the triple-negative group,P53is connected with histological grade (P<0.05),and is not connected with lymph node metastasis and TNM stage(P>0.05). The Ki-67positive rate(66.0%) in the Triple Negative group was higher thanLuminal A(30.3%),pairwise comparison was statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The comparison with the Luminal B(53.7%) and the HER2over-expressionedgroup(67.9%) was not statistically significant difference(P>0.05).In cases of the TripleNegative group,Ki-67is connected with histological grade,lymph node metastasis andTNM stage(P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS: The E-cad positive rate in the Triple Negative group is notstatistically significant difference with the others.In cases of the Triple Negativegroup,E-cad connected with lymph node metastasis. The P53positive rate in the TripleNegative group is statistically significant difference with the Luminal Aã€the Luminal Band the HER2over-expressioned group.In cases of the Triple Negative group,P53isconnected with histological grade. The Ki-67positive rate in the Triple Negative groupis statistically significant difference with the Luminal A.In cases of the Triple Negativegroup,Ki-67is connected with histological grade,lymph node metastasis and TNMstage. |
