| Mandarin intonation has the function to distinguish tone and semantics, also can express emotions. Correct tone expression is an essential part of human speech. Abnormal intonation production is one of the common speech disorders of hearing impaired children, impacting the smooth and effectiveness of children’s communication. Therefore, the intervention for deaf children with intonation abnormalities is very important. The existing research both at home and abroad focused on the auditory perception on hearing-impaired children, while few researches’on while few researches focused on intonation’s production, fewer on systematic clinical treatment for hearing-impaired children with abnormal intonation production. Therefore, through the analysis of intonation characteristics on30healthy children and30hearing impaired children. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the intonation characteristics of statements and questions on hearing-impaired children by subjective evaluation and acoustic analysis from different categories. And then proposed targeted intervention strategies for intonation abnormalities.First of all, through the subjective evaluation,28of30hearing-impaired children occurred abnormal intonation production, accounts for93.33%, the reasons of the abnormal primary include question intonation insufficient expression and the tone in sentences "distortion". On the subjective assessment scores of statement intonation, there are no significant difference between healthy children and hearing-impaired children. But on the subjective assessment scores of question intonation, the scores of hearing impaired children are much lower than the scores of healthy children.Second, through the comparative study on healthy children and hearing-impaired children, examining the hearing impaired children’s intonation acoustic features:the whole sentence fundamental frequency slope values of statements are lower than healthy children, means intonation pitch down dip trend is too much; On questions, the whole sentence fundamental frequency slope values and average fundamental frequency values are less than healthy children, that is the level of the tone pitch upward trend and elevation are inadequate.Third, to express the question intonation through boundary tone, both of the two kinds of children generally increased the start point of fundamental frequency values, the end point of the fundamental frequency values, average fundamental frequency values, the fundamental frequency slope values to distinguish statement intonation. There are still differences between hearing-impaired children and healthy children under statement intonation:the fundamental frequency slope values of the boundary tonel of hearing impaired children are lower, indicated the pitch down dip trend is too much, four boundary tones on the starting point of fundamental frequency values, average fundamental frequency values and the end point of the fundamental frequency values of hearing impaired children are lower, means having too much falling trend; Meanwhile, under question intonation:hearing-impaired children’s fundamental frequency slope values of the boundary tonel,2,3are lower.then, the start point of fundamental frequency values, the end point of the fundamental frequency values, average fundamental frequency values of the boundary tone1,4of hearing-impaired children are lower indicated the pitch trend to rise and push up of questions are insufficiency.Fourth, on the basis of the research of intonation characteristics on hearing-impaired children, this study puts forward the intonation abnormalities intervention strategies, including basic intervention strategies and targeted intervention strategies. In addition, through to the case study of abnormal intonation production resulted from tone3"distortion" in the sentence of a hearing impaired children, to verify the effectiveness of the intervention strategy that we raised. |
