A detachable word may be detached or merged. There are many bifurcations in study onthe detachable words in the grammar circle, and it remains controversial up to now. Just forthis, the detachable words become a great difficult point to learn Chinese for the foreignstudents, and specially is an obstacle to learn Chinese for Korean students. Owing to differentlanguage types, there is a great difference between Chinese and Korean in grammar andvocabulary. In addition, the detachable words are not thought seriously and not sufficientlyexplained by teachers and in the Chinese textbook in Korea, so that many Korean studentsmake more misunderstandings in applications of detachable words. For this reason, theacquisition of the detachable words for Korean undergraduates are studied in this paper, andthis is intended for providing some references for this study on the detachable words.This paper consists of seven chapters:Chapter1is the introduction, which deals with reason, purpose and meanings for researchsubject, as well as targets and approaches for the study.Chapter2introduces overviews of relevant studies on Chinese detachable words, as well asrespective studies on detachable words by Chinese and Korean scholars. It stresses erroranalysis, study of teaching strategy and the Korean scholars’ study on detachable words.Chapter3gives results of questionnaire survey from four universities.Chapter4the disposal of detachable words in the College Chinese Textbook areinvestigated, including disposals of detachable words in new words, textbook, notes andexercises, detachable words and detaching forms involving in Chinese textbook, and relatedproblems, etc.InChapter5is intended to find the common laws in the acquisition of detachable words forKorean students by error analysis on comparison of Korean and Chinese on the basis ofquestionnaire survey.Chapter6sets forth disposals and teaching strategy of detachable words in Chinesetextbook based on survey analysis and investigation of related textbooks in the foregoing twochapters.Finally, Chapter7is the conclusion by giving summary, limitations and lacks in the study.
