| Junior high school stages of the students are in adolescence, their physical andpsychological compared with before, great changes have taken place in the life development ofthe critical period. Junior high school students began to rational thinking about their future.Future time perspective is the individual ability to insight future, so for junior high schoolstudents’ the research of future time perspective will help them reasonable plan their future. Thefuture time perspective is the cognition, emotion and behavioral tendencies for persons to thefuture. Junior high school students’ academic delay of gratification is the ability for students inthe learning process facing different expectations and choose target is showing the ability thatstudents in order to pursue their long-term academic achievement, choose to give up instant canget satisfaction and bonus, and the self-control ability during the performance. Students with goodfuture time perspective can be more clearly and effectively in the expected future, theirself-control ability in the academic field is stronger, the ability of academic delay of gratificationis improved. Academic self-efficacy refers to the evaluation of students whether they can usetheir own student to existing knowledge, skills and the ability to complete the task of learningand subjective judgment and subjective feeling to effective control their individual learningbehavior and learning ability. As for junior high school students, learning is the most importantthing in life. Academic self-efficacy and academic delay of gratification are both junior highschool students’ learning psychological, and junior high school students’ future time perspectiverefers to the future insight cognition, emotion and behavior orientation. Academic goals are toclose or far away future can realize. So, this study in junior high school students is the situationand structural equation model for the investigation of future time perspectiveã€academic delay ofgratification and academic self-efficacy. The purpose of the research is to enrich the researchcontent of junior high school student` future time perspectiveã€academic delay of gratificationand academic self-efficacy, and also support the psychology theory and data for the researchersand educators to junior middle school.This study was done in two junior high schools in Shenyang. 3 classes were chosen random in each grade the first and second grade and the third, and a total of 18 classes, 540 students wereselected to junior high school students with future time perspective questionnaireã€academicdelay of gratification questionnaire and academic self-efficacy questionnaire. Class as a singleunit collective was measured. Use SPSS17.0, Amos17.0 statistical software to analysis the data,such as descriptive statistics, compare means, correlation analysis and regression analysis andpath analysis.The conclusions of the study are as following:1. Different degree of positive correlations exists between junior high school student’sfuture time perspective, academic delay of gratification and academic self-efficacy.2. Junior high school students’ future time perspective can significant positive forecastacademic delay of gratification.3. Junior high school students’ future time perspective can significant positive predict theacademic self-efficacy.4. The students’ academic delay of gratification plays the partial intermediary role betweenfuture time perspective and academic self-efficacy. |
