This is a translation project report for the13th and14th chapter of the novelUnder The Red Robe, an historical romance set amidst the17th century France, byStanley John Weyman. These two chapters involved are the hinge of the whole story.This report consists of four chapters:1) Project Components, consisting of thebackground of the project, objective of the project, significance of the project, andlayout of the report.2)The Source Text Analysis, consisting of introduction to the STauthor, introduction to the ST background, the general information of ST, thecomments of the ST.3)Translation Difficulties and Methodologies, includingtranslation difficulties, translation preparations and with the guidance of SkoposTheory, how to apply annotation, paraphrase, negation to literal translationand.translation methodologies for complex sentences by examples.4)conclusion,including the experiences from the project, lessons from the project and limitations ofthe study and prospects for further study.
