Translation Report For Making Globalization Socially Sustainable (Chapter2)

This translation project is composed of two parts. In the first part, Chapter2“Globalization, structural change and productivity growth” of “Making GlobalizationSocially Sustainable”, which is a publication of a joint project of the World TradeOrganization and the International Labor Organization, is translated into Chinese. Inthe second part, a translation report is written based on the translation process.The translation project report consists of four parts. The first chapter is theintroduction of the translation project, including its background, goal, significance andstructure of the report. The second chapter covers the introduction of the backgroundof the source text, the main content and analysis of the source text. In the third part,the difficulties met, the preparations done and the translation strategies adopted arepresented in light of the functional equivalence theory. The forth chapter concludesthe enlightenments, lessons and unsolved problems in the translation process.
