The Study On Tian Yu Hua

Tanci is a wonderful work of art in full bloom in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, which is a major form of talking and singing literature. There appeared lots of excellent Tanci works in the Ming and Qing Dynasty, no matter for performance or for desk reading. There were also many literators taking part in writing Tanci works, especially in Qing Dynasty. They showed their literary talents and ideas in their Tanci works, which made Tanci more elegant. So this kind of Tanci works are also called Tanci-fiction. At the same time, Women Writer in the Tanci fiction has made outstanding achievements, showing the tendency of a collective creation. They created many excellent works, such as Tian Yu Hua Zai Sheng Yuan Feng Shuang Fei and Bi Sheng Hua, which are very valuable in the literary history. However, we haven’t given these masterpieces enough attention and study. So it’s necessary for us to do more work on Tanci fictions.Tian Yu Hua is a representative work of these excellent Tanci fictions. It is the first Tanci fiction that is created by female at the early Qing Dynasty, widespread among the folk before modern times. In this book, the author expressed her distress because of the perdition of Ming Dynasty. She created an ideal character Zuo Wei Ming to do many contribution to Ming Dynasty. Tian Yu Hua had not only significant historical events of the late Ming and the description of political struggle, but also the delicate description of real family life, created a group of characters of distinctive images. Because of its great achievements it’s considered to be as important as A Dream in Red Mansions. This article, based on the text itself, first digs the historical contents, such as plots relating historical facts and the history prototypes of Zuo Wei Ming. This can show the pain of adherents of the author more clearly. Then the article digs the literary significance of the test, including the thoughts, the artistry and the literature value. The author’s main thoughts include the patriotic and loyal to the throne,the support of moral principles and the distinctive female consciousness. From analyzing the characters, the article studies on the lifelike characters and the characterization. And this article also digs the artistic value of the novel, including the structure, the plots and the language arts. At last the article gives a more objective evaluation to Tian Yu Hua through studying its influence on other literature works, including fictions and dramas. These studies are hoped to can do some contribution on the further studies of Tanci fiction.
