From a shaving sub of1958, the TV series in our country has gone through more than half a century,50years of development makes the TV series become one of the most popular art forms. As one of the TV series, family ethic soaps form one after another viewing hot spots, because of its focus on civilian life and facing the social reality of the characteristics sought after by the audience. Family ethic soaps are also known as the "woman drama", the reason is that it is widely welcomed by the female audience and the plot is basically focus on women. In particular, since the new century, the focus on women has become the main narrative of family ethics play object, thus it is a certain sense to study the image of women presented by the domestic family ethic soaps.In the micro perspective, this paper selects Golden Eagle Award for ethical soaps from1990to2010, and analyzes theirs image in the drama of family ethics, according to different categories of women in family roles, as mother, wife, daughter. Based on this, this paper sums up the family ethics soaps the stereotype of the female image, and analyzes its causes. This paper explores female image changes and analyzes its causes, by combing the image of women of the family ethics soaps in the past20years. This paper hopes that it can give some reference and help for the family ethics soaps in the authoring and development, and give a little complements for the existing research.This paper is divided into five parts, the first part is an introduction, describing the origins of the study, reviewing the research topic, researching status, advancing clearly the object of study and research methods. The second part is the body of the first chapter, which defines the concept of family ethic soaps and combs the course of development of family ethic soaps from the1930s-1940s movie melodrama to present’s. The third part is the second chapter of the body, which selects the specific text to describe its image in the drama of family ethic soaps on the sub-period of time, according to the different roles of women in the family. The fourth part is the body of the third chapter, which sums up the some characteristics by analyzing the female image in the past20years of family ethic soaps and finds out its reasons, by the third part of the comb. The fifth part is the body of the fourth chapter, which analyzes the female change image of family ethic soaps and its causes.The study finds that although female image has increased rich in the family ethics soaps, but women are still appendages of the male, missing their own independence and autonomy. Regardless of female image in the play is the change or not change, its essence are not changed, and never escape from the cage of patriarchal society.
