MASS is a non-commissioned composition which Stravinsky’s neo-classical late work. The analyzer will focus on the "Pandiatonic" skill, and make it as the main topic in the thesis. In the first chapter, the analyzer will briefly introduce the background and Symphony of Psalms. In the second chapter, the writer will analyze variety of techniques in the work,which mainly analyze the usage of Pandiatonic skill, auxiliarily analyze the tunes, horizontal countrapunctus, vertical harmony, combination of sound, and work as a whole and the local symmetry structure and so on. The influence of Pandiatonic skill will illustrate by analyzing various parameters. The author make the conclusion as the third chapter, in this chapter, the author will illustrate the position of the Pandiatonic in modern music and connection of neo-classical style. We can see he reshape the tradition and we can understand his expression to God by analyzing the musical factors. From above all, we summarize two points:Stravinsky inherits and reshapes the tradition; he combined musical language and text perfectly.
