| Since1990s, second language learning motivation research presented diversified development tendency in China, particularly an empirical study is on the rise, which verified the validation of foreign language learning motivation theories, and new discoveries are made. Military schools are a special group, cadets take on a dual role: College students and military personnel. Although many scholars conducted an extensive study of second language learning motivation problem, but few studies have involved military Academy of English learning motivation of college students. Therefore, this article through the investigation and analysis of English learning motivation of college students in military schools aims at understanding particularity of Military Academy of learning motivation of college students in military schools, and stimulation of relevant policies, provide reference to military Academy teaching.This paper first reviews at home and abroad for study of foreign language learning motivation, and draws on the research achievements of the predecessors, combining the character of English learning motivation of students in military college, as well as initially forms English learning motivation structure assumption model of military Academy and designs several Questionnaires to investigate200cadets’learning motivation. First of all,, and conducting a comparative analysis of military academies and local University, we find that the differences in foreign language learning motivation of between college students and cadets, and examines the situation of English learning motivation of Military Academy from study purpose, goal orientation, language, interests, self-confidence, self-efficacy, attribution of results, motivation, collective assessment and language anxiety.After the statistic analysis, the author finds out Cadets learned English with strong purpose, lower interest, self-doubt, weak anti-jamming ability and low steadiness, but most of them have very high expectations of English learning, particularly listening and speaking skills improving.
