| Chinese language education in Indonesia has been prohibited from1966to1998.Indonesian Chinese people have lost their right to study their own national culture andnational language for30years. After the Soeharto’s government was overthrown in1998, Chinese language education in Indonesia finally can be reborn, but at the sametime, Chinese language education in Indonesia must face in modern society, could notaccording to the old way of school sponsoring, it need to start over and adapt to thecondition of modern Indonesian society.Nowadays, Chinese language education in Indonesia has a variety of educationalforms, each has its own characteristics. However, to give students more comprehensivedevelopment, both integrate into the family of Indonesian nations and be able to have aglobal vision, trilingual school is the best school form, but after all, trilingual schoolsin Indonesia are relatively new, in its development process will inevitably be facedwith various problems and challenges. This study tried to explore the schoolmanagement condition and various facing problems of trilingual schools in Indonesiafrom the perspective of Chinese language education in Indonesia. |
