| The research methods of linguistic typology are a more and more important view in the field of modern linguistic study. In this paper, the author breaked the current research scope about minority language research and put the Dong language into the environment of the world language. From a typological perspective, the author accorded to1281inguistic characteristics of WALS and made a comprehensive description of Dong language with these features, covering the phonology, morphology, nominal categories, nominalsyntax, verbal categories, word order, simple clause and complex sentences.Meanwhile, the author make a comparison between Dong language and Chinese and disscuss the features on comparative constructions.In the first chapter, the author made a table which includes the language features of the Dong,Chinese,and English in WALS; chapter Ⅱ, the author made a comprehensive description of the Dong language,and added a perfection to WALS which did’t describe the language features of the Dong. At the same time, because the Dong language literature which provide materials are insufficient, some parameters could not be classified in WALS.This provides the future survey projects for the Dong language fieldwork.Chapter Ⅲ, the author made an in-depth description of the comparative constructions and explore its typological characteristics.The fourth chapter, the author summarized the characteristics of Dong language and the achievements made in this article. |
