The Study Of College Public Art Curriculum Under The Idea Of General Education

The public art education which points to the overall development of the people and the perfection of personality is an important part of the humanistic education. It is an effective way to bring up aesthetic sensibility, innovation thinking, insight, understanding, expression, communication and practice ability of student when carrying through the public art education in college. With the Process of Modernization, the reformation of education and the development of harmonious society, people attach more importance to the public art education.This paper discusses the problem of college public art education through the questionnaire and analysis of data under the idea of general education with7universities of Hunan province as examples. According to our actual conditions, this paper makes corresponding countermeasures using the idea and experience of foreign country. This paper includes4parts. Part Ⅰ leads to introduce the related theories of general education and public art education. Part Ⅱ explores the present situation and problem of college public art education through the questionnaire and analysis of data with7universities of Hunan province as examples. Part Ⅲ discusses the causes of the problem in our college public art education under the idea of general education. Part Ⅳ makes corresponding countermeasures country from the curriculum system of public art education, the construction of teaching faculty and the construction of university culture borrowing the idea and experience of foreign.Research indicates that all of the curriculum object, the curriculum content, the curriculum practice, the curriculum evaluation, the teaching faculty and the student’s attitude still keep some pace with the achievement of general education’s idea. This paper makes corresponding countermeasures from the educational idea, the curriculum system of public art education, the teaching faculty and the university culture.
