The Art Exchange between China and Japan has made great achievements in the two-thousand-year history of Cultural communication between the two countries, Which, compared with political and economic, is completed inadvertently but the influence is very profound. This article will study the similarities and differences between drama and noh in performance form, content, aesthetic features and narrative characteristic during the Song and Yuan Dynasty.The exchange of culture and art has never stopped though the political relations gradually reduced between China and Japan in Song and Yuan, when the main carrier of communication is the international trade and the hieratic contact aided by other transmission routes. As a new opera type of drama, Miscellaneous Drama is the main representative in this period of the artistic achievements, which is the focus of the world attention for its brilliant achievements, especially inYuan Dynasty. The contents of Miscellaneous Drama are rich and colorful and the style is also has a tendency of diversification in the gold period of yuan Drama. It not only lays a foundation for the prosperity of the chinese opera but also affected Japan classical drama by its distinct characteristics and mature performance system.The traditional classical drama of Japan is noh,which is also one of the quintessence of the country. Although noh and drama has the similar Inheritance of art, but with the production and mature of drama, the drama factors also have an effect on noh. Both similarities and difference will be analyzed in this article to research the effect of Yuan Drama on noh and then find out the relationship between them.The first chapter:Introduction. This chapter introduces the main research purposes, methods and the innovation.The second chapter:The summary of noh and Miscellaneous Drama in the song and yuan dynasty. This section is divided into two parts which will do a comprehensive introduction to the formation, historical inheritance, cultural background and different artistic characteristics of noh and dramaThe third chapter:The drama introduction into Japan.the flourishing of Miscellaneous Drama is in the period of kamakura muromachi, when the contact of Sino-Japanese opera is indirectly by Buddhism, international trade and even the wars between two countries. This chapter will analyze the background, time and Various transmission routes of drama’s introduction into Japan.The fourth chapter:The elements of drama in noh. This chapter, in order to find the evidence that noh has been affected by Miscellaneous Drama, shows the elements of drama in noh through the contrast of content of performance, the setup of characters, the band and instruments, the stage establishment and the clothing and props between drama and noh, which can explain the relationship between them.The fifth chapter:Conclusion. This chapter Synthesizes the above-discussed chapters and states the relationship between the Miscellaneous Drama and noh.
