An Analysis On Current Situation Of Intermediate Chinese Textbook’s Compiling

This research adopted scientific research methods, such as literature review, statistics, comparative analysis and questionnaire, on the theme, genre, degree of difficulty and cultural of the text, taking Boya Chinese and New Practical Chinese Reader published after2005as research objects. The researcher proposed texts of new intermediate Chinese textbook should not only follow but also highlight epochal, practical and instrumental characteristics. Then, how to do that? It was recommended to avoid the age-old literary works and to increase the outstanding literary works published after2000on the subject matter; to stylistic increase more practical writing types or forms of literature which are frequently used in domestic daily activities on work, life, learning, trade, etc.; to strictly control the amount of difficult words and the age-old literary works on the subject of difficulty; to increase cultural knowledge including cultural communication etiquette and communication taboos of all ethnic groups of China.
