The Research Of The Indonesian Chinese Organization To Promote Chinese Education

Indonesia is a country with the largest number of Chinese in the world. Indonesian Chinese in order to preserve the national language and inheriting the ethnic culture, active in local areas to develop Chinese education. After political reform in Indonesia in1998, Indonesian Chinese got more relaxed conditions in the political, Chinese organization one after another were established, fight the rights of all aspects for the Indonesian Chinese community, among them, promote Chinese education is also one of its main objectives.The Indonesian Chinese organizations through open Chinese schools and courses, training local Chinese language teachers, provide economic support and actively promote the Indonesian Chinese education. Pahoa alumni organization can representative in such Indonesian Chinese community, through the reestablish of Pahoa school, build Chinese teaching center; through the strengthening of China-Indonesia cooperation, take the road of common development; through efforts to train local teachers, seeking long-term plan of the Chinese education; through motivate alumnus of Pahoa, together to make a certain contribution to the development of Chinese education in Indonesia.Yet, Indonesian Chinese organizations in the process of promoting Chinese education also encountered a number of problems, for instance:Chinese teacher shortage and their quality is not high, the lack of unity in the organization’s internal, Chinese associations is difficult to integrate into mainstream society in Indonesia etc. For this reason, need efforts from the following aspects:taking the ways of combining formal school and the courses of training, continue to deepen cooperation with China, promote the Chinese into the mainstream society in Indonesia.
