A Study Of Sound Of Jiujiang Dialect

Jiujiang Dialect is subordinate to a branch of the northern dialect, one branch ofJianghuai Authoritative Language. It has the basic features of Jianghuai AuthoritativeLanguage. However, due to the long contact with Gan Dialect and common spokenChinese, Jiujiang Dialect has changed a lot. The development and changes of itspronunciation are especially obvious.This paper, guided by linguistics theory, represents the phonetic properties ofJiujiang Dialetc comprehensively and sustematicly, through using the field survey, thequalitative and quantitative analysis, synchronic analysis and diachronic comparisonresearch methods. Based on the reserch above, the communciation and influencebetween Jiujiang Dialect and mandarin are compared and analysed on the diachronicview to find out the trend of Jiujiang Dialect’s development. Further more，in order toexplore the inner evolution low, the phonetic system of GuangYun is used as theobject of reference. Above all, this paper is aimed to provide some effective referencematerials for the research of the Chinese dialects, especially the history of Chineselanguage.
