Narratives, Symbols And Cultural Perspective Of Jiang Wen’s Movies

This paper selects the four films have been shot by the director Jiang Wen:"sunny days","Devils on the Doorstep","The Sun Also Rises" and "Let the bulletsfly" as a case study. Narrative, semiotics and cultural studies, from the theoreticalroots, the research background, research methods, the meaning of a comprehensiveinterpretation of Jiang Wen film’s narrative style and the symbolic significance of thefilm, as well as in the context of globalization research Jiang Wen film and culturalvalue and significance. This study was designed on the basis of the results of previousstudies, the use of the method of combining theory and practical cases, want to beable to point times the theoretical complement and attempt made on the basis ofprevious research.The first chapter to collect, sort out and analyze the relevant director Jiang Wen’sfilm critic and research papers, and presented the feasibility and effectiveness of thefilm works of art from the narrative, semiotics, and cultural perspective.Chapter II from a narrative point of view, narrative structure analysis of JiangWen’s four films, and reveals the narrative style of the films and narrative features.Film director Jiang Wen’s third chapter from the perspective of visualsymbols,the application of the language of the camera, as well as the symbol ofSymbolic Meaning of an in-depth interpretation of the text, reveals the Inner Meaningof each film, the intention is that the film works to make accurate and appropriateanalysis.Chapter IV from the perspective of cultural studies, the original parent awareness,national allegory, feminism, and the Dionysian spirit of research, trying to make abrief analysis and discussion on Jiang works of prominent cultural connotations.Thelast section pointed out that the ultimate aim is to analyze films from the narrative,symbols, and cultural aspects in order to accurate and appropriate interpretation of thedirector works and style, but this interpretation is only briefly a director of work styleand cultural connotation summarized and introduced in order to truly deep into the inner world of the director Jiang Wen’s film starring the in-depth analysis and research,this is also lacking in this article.
