As the increase of the hidden fire danger of high-rise buildings in our country.The fire safety evacuation of high-rise buildings has been the focus of attention of thefire control safety work in the whole society. The economic development and thepopularization of higher education in our country make the high-rise schooldormitories increase bit by bit. It is easy for then to be panic and take irrationalbehaviour because of the complicated spatial structure. Own psychology and behaviorcharacteristics which brings a great difficulty to the fire safety evacuation of theuniversity.The research used the “High-rise dormitory fire cognitive evaluationquestionnaire”, the “Behavioral tendency when facing the high-rise dormitory firequestionnaire” and XiaoJiHua’s “Coping styles scale” as the research tools. Its researchsubjects included500undergraduates of TianJin area, It is the two factors which haveinfluences on the behavior tendency when facing the high-rise dormitory fire, one isthe undergraduates’ cognitive evaluation of fire and the other is coping styles.SPSS17.0statistical software was used to analyse the questionnaire. The results of theresearch is the following aspects:1. The undergraduates’ attention on the high-rise dormitory fire is significantlydifferent among domestic locations/whether participating in the fire controlknowledge training and coping styles.2. The undergraduates’ fire protection consciousness of high-rise dormitory fireis significantly different among living floors/domestic locations/whether participatingin the fire control knowledge training and coping styles.3. The undergraduates’ fire knowledge of high-rise dormitory fire is significantlydifferent among genders/whether participating in the fire control knowledge training/the experiences of fire and coping styles.4. The undergraduates’ cognitive evaluation score of high-rise dormitory fire issignificantly different among living floors/domestic locations/whether participatingin the fire control knowledge training and coping styles.5. The undergraduates’ altruistic behavioral tendency when facing high-risedormitory fire is significantly different among living floors/whether participating inthe fire control knowledge training and coping styles. 6. The undergraduates’ conformity behavioral tendency when facing high-risedormitory fire is significantly different among living floors/whether beingonly-children/domestic locations and coping styles.7. The undergraduates’ adventure behavioral tendency when facing high-risedormitory fire is significantly different among genders/living floors and copingstyles.8. The undergraduates’ for help behavioral tendency when facing high-risedormitory fire is significantly different among genders/living floors and copingstyles.9. The undergraduates’ coping styles and the cognitive evaluation of high-risedormitory fire have significantly interaction effects. They both have influences onundergraduates’ behavioral tendency when facing high-rise dormitory fire. And it isfound that the undergraduates’ cognitive evaluation of high-rise dormitory firecorrelated significantly with the behavioral tendency.
