There are there purposes of Study One. First is to investigate the current situationof the college students’ dormitory interpersonal,the attributional style and the copingstyle. Second is to compare the difference on the grade and gender of these threevariables. The third goal is to explore the relationship among them.On the basis, the second study is to design and implement the interventionalprogram according to the Therapeutic Spiral Model(TSM), to help the students withdormitory interpersonal problems. Then the intervention effect are examinedthrough questionnaires and qualitative analysis.The subjects of Study One are200college students rfom four grades. The toolsof the study include College students’ interpersonal diagnosis scale, Attributional stylequestionnaire, and Simpliifed coping style questionnaire.The group members come from the recommendation rfom the teachers andcounselors, volunteers and the subjects with extreme scores in Study One. Afterinterview the candidates, there are12students eventually become the members of thegroup.The following are main conclusions:(1)There is a significant gender difference in college students’interpersonal problems.The male students have more problems than the female. However th’eres no genderdifference in attributional style and coping style‘(2)The difference in college students’ interpersonal problems is not significant. Thegrade differences are significant in the overall score of positive events of attributionalstyle. The senior students are more positive than the freshmen and sophomore in thisrespect. On comping style,there is an edge significant difference in negative copingamong different grades students. The sophomore are tends to be more negative thanthe rfeshmen and the senior in coping style.(3)Through regression analysis, attributional style and coping style have obviouslypredictive effect on interpersonal problems. Attirbutional style can predict coping style. Coping style is a mediational role between interpersonal problems andattributional style.(4) After the intervention based on the techniques of TSM, the interpersonal problemhas been improved according to the post test questionnaire. The coping style becomespositive as well. The qualitative analysis also show the effect of the intervention.
