Gifted children refer to the supernormal children, who have significant advance onpsychological qualities(intelligence, creativity and non-intelligence)compared to normalchildren, have some special skills, actual achievements or potentials. Creative personality isan integrated structure, which is shown by the individual in the creative process, promote andensure the development of creativity, it can support and ensure the realization of the giftedchildren’s creative talents. This study investigates the age characteristics and genderdifferences of the gifted children’s creative personality, compared with normal children,investigates its related influential factors. Also provides a theoretical basis for the education ofgifted children’s creative personality, promote the creative education of normal children, helpfor normal children’s development.By means of self-programmed method, through teacher’s recommendation, standardizedtests and interviews, we select48gifted children participates in the study from two privatekindergartens in Dalian. This study uses several experiments and questionnaires to investigatethe age characteristics and gender differences of the3~5years old gifted children’s creativepersonality, use questionnaires to compare3~5years old normal and gifted children’screative personalities, use experiments to compare3~5years old normal and gifted children’sself-imposed delay of gratification, use questionnaires to investigate the relationship of3~5years old gifted children’s creative personality and parenting style also multiple intelligences.The results reveal that:(1)There are statistical significance among3~5years old giftedchildren in creative personality’s development. With the development of age, the overall trendis increasing quickly at first and then slowly.3~5years old gifted children’s creativepersonality has no sex differences, the development of boys’ and girls’ creative personality areroughly the same.(2)3~5years old gifted children’s creative personality is significantlyhigher than normal children both in overall score and every traits. Compared to normalchildren,3~5years old gifted children have significant advance on self-imposed delay ofgratification, they can delay more longer and use more strategies(.3)Sense of achievement of3~5years old gifted children is negatively correlated with spoiled parenting stylesignificantly. Novelty, sense of achievement, sensitivity of3~5years old gifted children isnegatively correlated with authoritative parenting style significantly. Sense of achievement, sensitivity and overall score of creative personality of3~5years old gifted children ispositively correlated with democratic parenting style significantly. Democratic parentingstyles can predict the development of3~5years old gifted children’s creative personality.Also that there are closely relationships between every trait, overall score of creativepersonality and linguistic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, spatial intelligence,bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, intrapersonal intelligencenaturalistic intelligence, musical intelligence.
