A Study On Narrative Ethics In Hai-Yan’s "Life And Death Of Love Trilogy"

Hai Yan,as one of the most famous writers in China, has created some most popular TV series, including "Love Story","Never in Peace","Jade Goddess of Mercy","What Can I do to Save You,My Lover", which caused television rating upsurge and produced sensational effect. Hai Yan became a well-known brand of TV drama for granted, even as a peculiar cultural landscape of the mainland TV market. Especially the "Jade Goddess of Mercy","Take What to Save You, My Lover" and "Never in Peace" trilogy,which has become the classic texts in the history of Chinese television.This thesis introduced "the new life and death of love trilogy (new Jade Godness of Mercy","new Take What to Save you, My Lover" and "new Never in Peace")"which created by JiangSu TV, as the research text, the study related theory of narrative ethics into the TV play art.The first chapter is the introduction part, mainly explain the following problems: the meaning and value of this study--TV drama art,as a representative of the popular culture,should be given more academic concern, as a classical narratology,which developed an important direction of narrative ethics,is worthy of a certain level of theory refers to the scope of the review to the domestic research present situation; the research on Hai Yan’s drama more or stay in the traditional narrative perspective, narrative ethics research remains in the novel level; and this research method to be adopted.The second chapter clarifies the theory origin of this study, divided into three sections:the first section for TV drama narratology was summarized, this research object in particular to the narrative to be introduced TV research, as well as the TV series narrative; the second section discusses ethical narrative turn, by the renaissance to the rhetorical narrative ethics the enlightenment, and then explain the study of narrative ethics gradually; section third for narrative ethics into the study of TV drama feasibility argumentation.The third chapter discusses the research object, carries on the summary to the " life and death of love trilogy"’s birth backgroundThe fourth chapter, as the focus of this study, the specific narrative ethics of "trilogy", consists of four sections, the first section clasified the three basic elements of clearance of TV series narration, the narrator (screenwriter), narrative text (works) and narrative receiver (audience); the following three sections focus on three elements behind the TV series narrative in particular, the narrative subject and ethical orientation, from two aspects of reliable narration and unreliable narration; then discussed the relationship between convey narrative and ethics, specifically refers to "narrative ethics Trilogy" of the code, namely the family ethics, sexual ethics, social ethics and death ethics; finally discuss ethics communication and narrative acceptance, the relationships between TV viewing and production of value and ethics acquisition.The last chapter:narrative ethics criticism as a critical pattern of television for reflection, clarify the view that the practical feasibility of narrative ethics criticism in television research.
